The site opens Friday July 18, 2008 at pm and closes Sunday.
Please be advised that this event is held on a private farm, which means that it
is primitive camping. Please bring all your water needs with you as there are
no water sources available for use. Also we are camping in an open field so any
shade you may have would be a good idea to bring with you.
Good gentles, be well behaved; the Oprichniki will be present to guard against treason.
The Reeves Challenges as have been before will be available.
A reeve is an appointed official in charge of overseeing an activity for the populace to experience. In attendance will be reeves of archery, armoured combat, cooking, armouring.
Site fees :
Adults: $12/weekend
$ 7/Saturday
Children under 12 are half price
Children under 5 are free
The $3 non-member surcharge applies to all attendees who can not
show proof of membership (membership card or current Tidings label)
All cheques are made payable to SCA -Greyfells
All funds are Canadian
Food
Dinner Saturday night will be potluck with roast beast provided by the canton of Greyfells. If anyone has meat they would like to contribute, please contact our cook, Lerthan (email below). Breakfast Sunday will be included in your weekend site fee and will include the traditional jelly donuts. Directions
From the North:
Take your best route to Hwy 41 South
From the east and west:
Take your best route to Hwy 401 towards Napanee.
Exit at Hwy 41 and head South.
(This will take you through the town of Napanee where you will pass through a variety
of shopping areas to stock up on ice, water, food or whatever else you may require).
Hwy 41/Centre St N becomes CR #8/Hamburgh Rd as you leave the town of Napanee proper.
Turn Right/Go West on CR #9/Hay Bay North Shore Rd. (This intersection has the only
flashing light in the area) Follow to 6152.
Gate will be set up just inside the driveway. Stop there and be directed further into the site.
*Important: please note that CR #9/River Rd has an exit within the town of
Napanee.
Ignore this one and continue out of town to the second CR #9 exit.
There will be signs posted.
