The Canton of Greyfells would like to welcome all to its limestone borders for the thrill of Fall Crown Tournament,

from 9 am to 11 pm.

The clash of challenge will be heard ringing through the halls and gardens of the Lovely Rideau Acres Campground, off of Highway 15 near Kingston, Ontario, where the tournament will be held out of doors providing nature smiles upon us.  Should we get mother natures cold (or more to the point wet) shoulder than there will be lists created in the great hall, and combat will be held unabated.

In additions to combat, for those of a less martial persuasion, there will be held classes, at least three, to provide entertainment and education.

A tempting lunch will be provided by Lady Moira ni Namara (see information above), and a sumptuous feast will be created by Lady Kersteken Janzdochtere (April Luchies): Contact Kersteken about Food Concerns, although either of the cooks man be contact regarding questions of menu, allergies or intolerances.

All reservations should be sent attention to Nicholas Pike, 315 Portsmouth Ave, Kingston On, K7M 1V7.
 

Schedule:

Site opens at 9:00 am
Armour inspections begin at 10:30 am
List registration begins at 11:00 am
The procession of combatants and consorts begins at 11:15 am
Tournament begins at 12:00
Court will follow the Tournament, approximately 4 or 5:00 pm
Feast will be at 6:00 pm
Site closes at 10:00 pm.

Costs for this event will be as follows:

Site:
$10 Adults(13 and up),
$5 children ( 2-12),
babes in arms free.
There is a $3 non-member surcharge fee (as applicable).

Feast:
$12 Adults
$6 for children reserved 2 weeks or more in advance, otherwise $12 a seat.

Lunch:

Tickets available at gate for $5.

This mere $5 will obtain for you a selection of the following

1 Fruit, 1Boiled Egg, 1 Chunk o' cheese, 1 Bun
 
1 bowl of either:

 Potatoe Leek Soup ( potatoes, leeks, olive oil, shallots, onions, garlic, salt, pepper)
 
or...
 
Gnocchi in Milk Broth ( flour, eggs, cream cheese, butter, milk, cheese, salt)
 
1 selection of Meat either:
 
5 sweet spicy meatballs ( apples, hamburger, crackers, garam masala, turmeric, salt, brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, eggs, )
 
or
 
1 Slice Pork Loin ( brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, apples, sherry)
 
Please again contact Lady Moira with any concerns regarding the lunch menu, arrangements may be made for allergies, or sensitivities if given sufficient notice. 

 

Directions:

By way of directions, instruct the driver of your horse, or carriage to find their best way to the 401 highway, and take this road towards Kingston, to the Highway 15 exit (exit 623), follow Highway 15 north, to Cunningham rd, and turn Right onto Cunningham.  There will be signs both for Rideau Acres, and for SCA, to guide you en-route.  There is ample space to park your transportation in back. 

SCA signs will be in use while on Hwy 15 North.  They will be black on yellow, and are being put up Friday night.

 

Feast Menu:

A delectable feast is being prepared to celebrate the new Heirs to the thrones of Ealdormere.  It will consist of:

1st remove:
Bread and butters
cheese and mushroom tart
Cheese tart
Beef Stew
Vegetarian option: Bean stew
Grapes, Cheeses and Nuts
 
2nd Remove:
Meat and mushroom pie
Vegetarian option Egg and Spinach Tart
Mixed fall vegetables
Honey Garlic Chicken on Saffron rice
Baked sweet apples
