 Welcome from the Baron & Baroness
Greetings to the Populace of the Barony of Rising Waters, from Baron
Oakhammer and Baroness Aibhilin, Baron and Baroness of Rising Waters.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our
Baronial webpage. We hope that what you see here will compel you to come
visit our fair lands - if you don't already live within her bounteous
borders.
The SCA is
the Middle Ages For All
Ages
Anyone is welcome to come to our events and
the Queen Elizabeth Community Centre to view what we do and to ask
questions. Costumes are only necessary if you are attending one of our
events, not a practice or meeting.
Heavy Weapons
(Fighting): the minimum age to participate is 16 years.
Archery: there is no age restriction and there
is loaner equipment for people to use.
Directions to the
Queen Elizabeth Community Center:
The Queen
Elizabeth Community Center is located at the corner of Niagara and Facer
streets in St. Catharines. If you are taking the Niagara bound QEW you
would exit at Niagara Street and stay right on the cut off and proceed to
the traffic lights at the top of the incline, here you will turn left and
then you will need to get into the right lane ***take the cut off to the
right on to Facer Street ( you will see the center on your right) and the
an immediate right into the Queen Elizabeth Community Center parking lot.
Park anywhere and come on in.
If you are coming from
the Toronto bound QEW then you will also take the Niagara Street cut off
and proceed on to the traffic lights, here you will turn right, stay right
and proceed as directed above from***.
